Did you know that 1 out of 4 deaths is heart disease related? Heart disease is the number one killer of both men and women. Remember to eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to keep your heart strong and healthy. Strive to get 4-6 days of activity for 30 minutes. Include cardiovascular exercises (exercises designed to increase your heart rate), strength training (exercises designed to maintain or improve muscle tone), and flexibility exercises (exercises designed to prevent injuries and maintain a good range of motion) as part of your exercise regimen.

Remember it is never to late to start an exercise program. Make sure you are healthy enough to begin by checking with your doctor. If you need help getting started be sure to contact a health professional such as myself to make sure you don’t get hurt and are working at an appropriate level for you!!!

Get out there and take care of your heart!!!! Remember to wear RED this month to raise awareness against heart disease.
